What is a Cwtch Conservatory Roof

A Cwtch Roof is an insulated, lightweight tiled roofing system designed to replace your existing glass or polycarbonate conservatory roof.

Manufactured in South Wales and tailored to each home, it’s the perfect upgrade to transform your conservatory into a comfortable, usable living space all year round.

Each Cwtch Roof is bespoke-designed and built using the following components:

Lightweight Metrotile roofing system
Plywood sheet sarking for strength
Breathable, waterproof membrane
Strong aluminium rafters, hips, eaves, and a timber ridge
100mm PIR insulation between rafters, with optional extra 25mm, 50mm or 75mm PIR below for enhanced thermal performance
Finished internally with 12.5mm plasterboard
Options for lighting and velux windows
Building Control approved system

Our system typically suits roof pitches between 20–35 degrees and can include roof lights where compatible. It’s designed to work with existing conservatory frames – subject to a structural survey – to ensure a safe, long-lasting fit.
